About the company:

The house-museum of S.M. Budyonny is a memorial museum dedicated to the legendary countryman, people's hero of the Civil War, one of the organizers of the First Cavalry Army, three times Hero of the Soviet Union. A modern building made of glass and marble protects from the steppe winds a small, squat muzzle - the parent house of Marshal S.M. Budyonny, where he spent his youth and years of formation on his life path. This is one of the first museums created on the Don land.

In 1939, the clay mud on the outskirts of the village, blown by all the winds, became a tribute to the memory of fellow countrymen, where memorial items were collected by bits and the life of the Budyon family was restored. The walls of the house still remembered all the joys and sorrows of that difficult time of a large family. In the pavilion around the house there is an exposition telling about the creation of the First Cavalry Army and its combat path. It was during this period that the museum was replenished with new exhibits: personal belongings and documents of S.M. Budennoy, donated by his widow and the Council of Veterans of the First Cavalry Army of Moscow.

The house-museum of S.M. Budyon has always performed an important function of preserving the memory and patriotic education of the young generation. Enjoying unprecedented popularity during the Soviet period, it still attracts guests from various corners.

The museum holds 2,798 items in its collections. It is visited annually by more than 4,000 guests. More deeply immersed in the history allow excursions “About Budennoy”, “In the fire of battles”, “Cavalry of Budennoy”. During the year, more than 380 excursions are held in the museum. Walk through memorable and historical places will allow the tourist route "Pages of history on the steppe expanses of Manych".
