Memorial House-Museum of V.A. Zakrutkin

The memorial house-museum of the writer V.A. Zakrutkin in the village of Kochetovskaya was opened on April 26, 1986.

In the House-Museum of V.A. Zakrutkin everything remained as it was during the life of the writer. A small cozy wooden house is surrounded by an orchard, trees and shrubs planted by Vitaly Alexandrovich. The wide steps of the porch lead to the veranda and then into the rooms. In the writer’s office there is an old desktop, an old table lamp, an elegant ink device, various souvenirs. Immediately on homemade shelves there are books - there are more than two thousand of them. On the walls in the rest room there are Cossack sabers and checkers, an ancient patrontash in the form of a half-horsesh, which saw hundreds of roads and Turkish shores, a worn Cossack hiking bag “sakwa”. On the honorable place hangs a front burka, bekesha, binoculars and curtain. Classical music, favorite poems and songs of the writer, fragments from his works are often heard in the literary living room of the House-Museum.

The museum fund has more than six thousand exhibits.
