Natural Science Museum of Innovation

Rostov-on-Don, Sorge St., 7, Faculty of Chemistry of SFU

About the company:

When forming the collection of the Museum, we proceed from the need first of all to include sections related, one way or another, to the science of matter and its transformations. That is why the collections present chemistry, biology, ecology, medicine, sciences about man as a biological being, physics and materials science sections of technology (construction, metallurgy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical technology, energy, biotechnology and communication).

The exposition brings together the most important objects for a person, which at one time became real innovations: pens and matches, incandescent lamps and buttons, glasses and postage stamps, and much more. Separate sections of the museum are devoted to virtual private collections of materials for the production of Coca-Cola, chemistry on postage stamps, the most important industrial production and advertising innovations. The real pride of the Museum is paradoxical exhibits or artifacts, the prototype of inventions or innovations.

In the Museum, all exhibits are interactively linked to text, audio and video explanations. Unlike many other places, there is a mandatory experimental illustration of the physical laws or phenomena of nature that underlie the innovations exhibited. The museum is visited by high school students of the Rostov region, improving the qualifications of the teacher of the natural scientific cycle, students of SFU and researchers and teachers of the Department of Chemistry. The exhibits of the museum are used as visual aids for all kinds of classes.
