Rubtsovo Museum of Local Lore

It was founded on 5 November 1967. The local history museum has a large collection telling about the history of the city. Main activity:
- study of the history of the city, district, region; popularization of this information through the exhibition.
- assistance to educational institutions in the study of courses "Regional studies", "Ecology", "World fiction";
- development and implementation of developmental programs for children and adolescents;
- providing methodological assistance to public museums;
- creation of a video archive of significant events in the history of the city and region;
- publication of local history collections.

The museum has 7 exhibition halls:
history of the development of life on earth;
- The crucible is stone-cutting;
- the history of the appearance of the village Rubtsova;
- The Great Patriotic War;
- Rubtsovsk industrial;
- nature and ecology of the "golden" Altai;
Honorary citizens of the city of Rubtsovsk.
The museum has 23,723 items of the main fund and 4,148 units of the scientific and support fund.
