The Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God

The Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God in the village of Kolentsy of the Ryazan region was built in the early 19th century. The temple is distinguished by its slender tiered silhouette. On the western side, a high bell tower rises above it, which is connected to the main space of the church by a small refectory.

Today, the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos is partially preserved, partially destroyed, but is not a functioning church. Inside the left chapel there are fragments of murals and a fragment of a wooden icon. Interestingly, a fragment of the preserved painting “The Last Judgment” has unusual properties. With the naked eye it is almost impossible to notice, but it clearly appears when photographing.

Today, the Annunciation Church, despite its state, has become one of the contenders for the regional competition "7 Wonders of the Ryazan Region".
