Church of Epiphany
Description:
The Church of the Epiphany is an architectural monument of the middle of the XVII century, built presumably by architect V. Zubov on the site of a more ancient white-stone church of the XVI century, destroyed by a fire in 1647. A small quartet of the temple with a semicircular apse ends with an elegant gilded five-domed (the chapters themselves are the first half of the XVIII century). The refectory and especially the tent bell tower, located asymmetrically in relation to the main volume of the church, create a pleasant picturesque silhouette. In the XX century, the archive of the registry office of the administration of the Ryazan region was located here.
