Church of the Holy Spirit

Description:

The Church of the Holy Spirit of the Ryazan Kremlin is an architectural monument of the first half of the XVII century. It was built in 1642 by the famous master from Soligalych V.X. Zubov and is a rare example of a tent temple.

A small, elongated in a transverse direction, the quartet of the temple is crowned with a slide of picturesque kokoshniks and two tents. The peculiarity of the church is that it has two apses.

At the end of the XVIII century, a refectory was added to the church, and in 1864, the architect I. V. Stopychev erected a three-tier tent bell tower instead of the dismantled original one.

The Church of the Holy Spirit is the only surviving building of the Dukhov monastery, founded no later than the XV century and located on the northeastern outskirts of Pereyaslavl Ryazansky.

Нужно восстановить трапезную и колокольню в прежнем виде. Взять за образец малый собор Донского монастыря.
