Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God
Russia, Ryazan region, Skopinsky district, Velo Voslebovos, School street
Description:
The Church in honor of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God is an active Orthodox church in the village of Voslebovo, Ryazan region. The first wooden church appeared in the patrimony of the boyar Romanov in the village of Voslebovo at the beginning of the XVII century. In 1802, the temple was replaced by a stone one, over the next hundred years three chapels were added to it.
In the forties of the last century, the temple was closed and turned into a village club. Later, the Zagotzerna warehouse was placed in its premises, which, of course, adversely affected the state of the holy place.
Interestingly, the temple is listed as a national cultural heritage site twice due to an error in the name of the village.
