Monument to Aksenov

In 2011, in Ryazan, a lifetime monument to Vladimir Aksenov, cosmonaut, designer, tester was installed.

In 1972, together with Valery Bykovsky, he flew on the Soyuz-22 spacecraft as a flight engineer. The flight lasted 7 days. For successful research, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. He received the second highest award in 1980. The statute of the award stipulates that a monument must be erected to the Hero twice. But we couldn't do that then.
