Victory Square
Description:
Victory Square is a significant place in Ryazan, because here is a monument built in honor of the victory of the Soviet army over the fascist invaders.
Also on the square burns the Eternal Fire, which at the same time serves as a popular meeting place for local residents and numerous tourists of the city. Some time ago, the lighting of the monument was updated, due to which today it looks especially majestic.
The square often hosts festive concerts, with a special scope here celebrate the New Year and City Day. On May 1 and 9, Victory Square is the starting point of the parades that end at Lenin Square.
Also on the Ryazan Victory Square is a large shopping center "Victoria Plaza", the city's first fast food restaurant MC Donald's and Subway restaurant.
Near the square are also located skating rink "Lokomotiv", youth club "Deep" and a mini-amusement park.
