Dormition Cathedral
Description:
The Assumption Cathedral (XVI-XVII century) is the cathedral of the Ryazan Metropolis of the ROC and the city of Ryazan. It is located in the place of green (powder) chambers, and the ordered hut. It was built by architect Yakov Bukhvostov on the site of the collapsed white-stone Assumption Cathedral, built by his predecessors. Today it houses the highest iconostasis in Russia.
