The introduced church
Russia, Ryazan region, Pitelensky district, Pet village.
Description:
In the village of Pet, Pitelinsky district, Ryazan region stands the ancient Vvedenskaya church, the creation of which was timed to the tricentenary of the Romanov house. The local merchant Portnoy allocated funds for the construction of the church. Unfortunately, history has lost the name of the architect who created this unusual project. The first mention of the Church of the Introduction of the Virgin into the temple occurs since the foundation of 1912-1913. It's a picturesque plain.
The structure is a layout, on the sides of which - four pillars, three asps, five chapters are familiar to Russian-Orthodox temple architecture. Only a few components resemble the Gothic style. Together with the sixth top of the bell tower, the whole composition resembles a stiffened candle flame. Painting on the walls has not survived to this day, only occasionally its individual fragments appear.
After the revolution, the temple was abandoned. At present, the desire and attempts of the local population to restore the Vvedenskaya Church with the funds raised have proved unsuccessful.
