State Museum-Reserve of S.A. Yesenin

391103, Ryazan region, Rybnovsky district, Konstantinovo village

About the company:

The State Museum-Reserve of S.A. Yesenin was opened in 1965 in the poet’s homeland, in the village of Konstantinovo, Ryazan region. Visitors to the museum will be attracted by the picturesque nature of the Russian plain, which helps to penetrate the poet’s creative laboratory. The museum is unique in that here, in an ancient village above the Oka, there is a neighborhood of two estates, a peasant and a manor. Such a neighborhood of two cultures, their traditions, everyday life allows us to trace the history of Russia at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries on specific historical material. Of great interest is the exposition of the Zemstvo school. The neighborhood of the two spiritual centers of the village, school and church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (XVIII century) reveals the enormous importance of moral education in the education of peasant children.
