Safonov Historical and Local Lore Museum

Safonovsky Museum of Local History was opened on May 9, 1990. In the collection of the museum 1859 exhibits.

It is impossible to imagine the successful development of any municipality without preserving the cultural and historical heritage. The main place of saving the past is the local history museum. This is a corner of knowledge of their small homeland, a place where people who are not indifferent to the history of their land meet. We can say that the city begins with a museum, like a theater with a hanger.

It is here that the information resource is created on which all other local history work is built: museum, memorial, publishing, educational, educational, etc.

The most important role in the work of the museum is played by joint work with school museums and local history corners, which are created in all 29 schools of the city and district. The museum annually participates in competitions of school museums, provides organizational and methodological assistance.

Close cooperation links the museum with the library. We hold joint events, organize exhibitions. Combining our efforts is not an easy addition, but multiplication.

It is difficult to measure love for your small Motherland, to express it in material equivalent, but it will determine the fate of Safonovskaya land and its individual inhabitants.
