Shiryaevo-Pearl of Samara Luka

The village of Shiryaevo is located in a picturesque place, which is often and quite rightly called Volga Switzerland. For many years Shiryaevo has enjoyed among residents of Samara and guests of the city the fame of one of the most attractive places for a one-day tourist trip.

This amazing place is one of the most successful tourist sites where you can appreciate the beauty of Zhiguly and the Samarskaya Luka National Park, on the territory of which the village of Shiryaevo is located. Shiryaevo owes its popularity among tourists not only to the magnificent nature, but also to the developed museum and tourist complex.

Shiryaevo became famous after the great painter Ilya Repin visited the village, collecting material for his famous painting “Burlaki on the Volga”.

Famous Shiryaevo and galleries, pierced in Zhiguly in the early XX century for the extraction of stone. And thousands of bats chose the galleries as a place for wintering.
