About the company:

In 2003, with the opening of the museum, the village of Dubovy Umet became the center of historical and local lore life of the Volga district. The exposition of the museum is unique, it is the only museum that tells about the steppe history of the Samara land from ancient times to the present. In its halls you can meet a Stone Age man - a great hunter of the Ice Age, who was subject to the forces of nature and conquered such animals as the mammoth and the cave bear. The only such paleontological collection in the field serves as confirmation of this.

Unique and majestic Wild Field - here you can see the fusion of many cultures, roads and customs. At the main exposition, you can inhale the aroma of steppe herbs, which have just been mowed down by a peasant-scraper, transfer to a real wit - the first inn on the famous Ural tract. On your own experience, you can feel the differences between the steppe and the usual hut, touch the household items of “brushers”. Before the eyes of visitors, the secrets of the history of the development of suburban lands of Samara, the Cossack Watags of Bogdan Barboshi and Ivan Ring, who paved the first road from Samara to Yaik, the hardships and joys of the peasants of the Specific Department of Tsarist Russia and the Country of Soviets, will sweep through.

Such great personalities as Fridtjof Nansen, Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy, Nestor Karlovich Genko, Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin and Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin wrote their pages in the history of the Volga region and the Samara region, whose portraits adorn the halls of the museum.

The museum hosts more than 11 exhibitions a year on various topics. More than 30 interactive programs are held, among which the ethnographic cycle “Russian festivities” stands out, immersing into the world of the Russian calendar of national holidays.
