Zoological Museum of Samara State Pedagogical University

Zoological Museum PGSGA is one of the largest natural science museums in the Volga region. Its exposition demonstrates the diversity of the animal world, located in five halls and includes 61 systematic showcases and 22 ecological dioramas, which present various natural zones of the Earth. The collection of the museum includes 15,000 exhibits not only of local fauna, but also of other countries and continents, including 60 species of animals listed in the Red Book of the Samara region and Russia, about 80 species of fish, 15 amphibians, 60 reptiles, 200 birds, 150 mammals. The Zoological Museum is open to all comers, there is a permanent exposition where excursions, classes of university students, lectures are given.
