Theatre "Fortress Ballet"

The Theater “Fortress Ballet” is the author’s project of Prokopyeva Elena. Its participants work in a genre called "dance theater". In the game of actors, gestures, words, facial expressions, sounds are mixed. With this, they try to open up a new view of seemingly familiar things.

The Fortress Ballet Theatre was founded in Siberia in 1995. It was created as an experimental laboratory that would unite people of different professions: actors, choreographers, dancers and directors. However, in 2005 it was decided that the theater should move to the northern capital. From that moment he found his permanent "residence" in St. Petersburg.

The participants of the theater often tour and are winners of various international theater competitions. During its existence, the Fortress Ballet Theatre was able to produce fifteen independent performances. In 2000, he was nominated for the prestigious Golden Mask competition.
