Leningrad Zoo Park

st. Petrburg, Alexander Park, 1

About the company:

Leningrad Zoological Park is a unique museum of wildlife. It is one of the northernmost zoos in the world. To date, it has preserved the general layout of the end of the last century and is part of the ensemble of the historical center of the city. Currently, the zoo occupies an area of 7.4 hectares and is one of the smallest in terms of area in Russia. However, this did not prevent specialists from collecting and maintaining a collection of almost 2,000 specimens and about 400 species of animals - inhabitants of almost all continents. Thanks to the efforts of the employees of the Zoo and the unique energy that reigns here, many rare species of animals in the Zoo reproduce, even though it is very difficult to provide them with ideal conditions for keeping in such a small area (urials, polar bears, etc.). In addition, there have always been many long-lived animals in the Zoo. To date, the centenarians in the zoo contain: elk, David's deer, giraffes, bison, rotor-horned goat, boars, saimiri, dupaya, Japanese macaque, macaque magot, condor, black storks, kinkahu and many other animals. This is also a wonderful atmosphere for animals.
