Andrey Mironov Russian Entreprise Theatre

The Andrei Mironov Russian Entreprise is the first contract repertory theater in Russia that does not have its own permanent troupe. The theater was founded in 1988 and named after the famous Russian actor Andrei Mironov. The founder of the theater is the famous entrepreneur and director Rudolf Furmanov. From the very beginning, the main task of the entreprise was to create its own repertoire. During the first eight seasons, the workers of the new theater created performances without having their own stage, and therefore performances were held on the stages of various St. Petersburg theaters. In addition, the entreprise often performed with tours. In 1995, the theater was granted permanent premises. And it is symbolic that the house in which the theater was located belonged to Andrei Mironov’s grandfather before the revolution. The versatile talent of Andrei Mironov, whose name the theater is named after, allowed the creators of performances not to limit themselves in the choice of repertory preferences. Every year, the theater produces many premieres, distinguished by genre diversity, originality of directorial interpretations and magnificent acting works. Among the popular performances of the theater, based on the works of Russian and foreign authors, are Oblomov, Kreutzer Sonata, My Parisian, Portrait of Dorian Gray, Siren and Victoria and others. A peculiar scenic hallmark of the Mironov entreprise is the play "From the life of a mad entrepreneur", created based on the theatrical novel of the same name by Rudolf Furmanov, which reflected the forty-year life of the author in the world of theater. Despite the fact that the theater opened relatively recently, it is constantly in the center of attention of the St. Petersburg public. Each year, the theater presents several premieres to the audience.
