Recreation center "Kobona" in the city of St. Petersburg

The recreation center "KOBONA" is located in the Kirov district of Leningrad region in the village of Kobona 98 km. from St. Petersburg (directly on Lake Ladoga). The base is located in the old restored Karaulka building, built by General Field Marshal Von Minich in 1762 on the shore of the Peter the Great Canal (Staro-Ladoga Canal) 300 m from Lake Ladoga.

Cobona is a place known for the Road of Life. More than one and a half million tons of cargo for besieged Leningrad passed through this village. One of the attractions of the village is the St. Nicholas Church, built in 1820, the poet Alexander Prokofiev was born here, the author of several collections of poems on which songs and romances are written.
