Saint Petersburg

Hermitage

Description:

To come to St. Petersburg and not to go to the Hermitage is unthinkable!

In St. Petersburg (Leningrad) cultural mythology, this museum occupies a special place.

Its collection allows you to trace the history of art from its beginning to the present day. It is more correct to say that the Hermitage is an encyclopedic museum!

The volume of information is really very large, but my task is not to load you with your knowledge about museum masterpieces and interiors, but to help you get acquainted with them (if you are in the Hermitage for the first time) or continue acquaintance (if you have already been here).

I will show you all the most important masterpieces: the Peacock clock, paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael, the world’s largest vase, the oldest Greek sculpture and of course an Egyptian mummy!

We will walk through the most beautiful state halls: Throne, Armor, Field Marshal.

Take a look at the War Gallery of 1812, Raphael’s loggia and the palace church.

You will learn to navigate this seemingly endless museum space!

If by the end of the tour you have a second wind, then you can stay in the museum until closing and go on an independent voyage through its halls!

P.S. There is also a museum cafe with sandwiches and cheesecakes in the Hermitage!

Don't forget to book a tour!
