Gatchina is a favorite residence of Paul 1, a place of reliability and tranquility for Alexander 3 and his family, as well as the capital of the hunt, the eagle’s nest, the headquarters of the Order of Malta in Russia. Despite its remoteness from the capital of the empire, Gatchina has always been a place of scientific discovery and technological advances.
During the tour, we will visit the Grand Gatchina Palace, where we will see the interiors of the era of Paul 1, Nicholas 1, Alexander 3, walk along the secret passage used by A. Kerensky during the October events of 1917, walk through the picturesque park, visit the wonderful castle of Paul 1, which was built specifically for the Grand Priory of the Order of Malta in Russia.
