City of Maritime Glory Kronstadt

Kronstadt is located on Kotlin Island in the Gulf of Finland, 30 km west of St. Petersburg. On this small island (12 by 1.5 km) is located Kronstadt - a city and fortress. The historical part of the city of Kronstadt occupies the eastern part of the island. Within the fortress wall, the main buildings of the city were located, and in the adjacent water area - harbors and forts. All round-the-world expeditions of the Russian fleet began from Kronstadt, unique discoveries were made here that changed our world. Kronstadt is the cradle of the Russian fleet.
