The Hermitage Museum is the greatest museum in Russia, which was started by Catherine II. For two and a half centuries, exhibits from the Stone Age to our century are collected here.
During the tour you will pass through the main halls of the museum: the Small and Large Throne, Field Marshal and Arms Halls, where you will get acquainted with the paintings of great masters, including Van Gogh, Picasso, da Vinci, works of sculpture and decorative arts. In the ancient halls you will be told about the myths and legends of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.
In the halls dedicated to ancient Egypt, you will see mummies, learn the history of pharaohs and gods.
You will also see the most famous exhibits of the Hermitage, such as the 19-ton Kolyvan vase and the Peacock watch.
