History of Russian Terrorism

In the history of Russia, and therefore in the history of the capital of Imperial Russia, St. Petersburg were not only glorious pages of heroic feats of rapid transformations. The history of St. Petersburg is decorated with periods of construction of brilliant palaces, squares, the creation of famous parks, successes in science. But there were moments of passionate struggle for power, and we call it the period of Palace coups; heirs fought for power, intricate intrigues and even bloody murders were in the course.

Since March 1, 1881, Russian history turned a page, the murder of Emperor Alexander II by people “from the people” marked the beginning of the “History of Russian Terrorism”: the emperor was killed, killed not with the aim of ascension to the throne of another contender, but with the aim of changing the political system.
