Walk from Place de l’Labor to New Holland: The Romanovs and Their Neighbors.

St. Petersburg is a city where even on a short stretch of the way you can see a lot of interesting and unexpected things! We will take a walk from the Kryukov Canal to the Moika. It seems like a short distance... Three palaces of the Grand Dukes were built here. The walls of these mansions still hide old secrets, stories of love, disappointment, joy and sadness. After all, the stories of the imperial or royal families are always confusing, they intertwine the lives and destinies of different people, their characters, desires, aspirations. Of course, this also applies to the Romanov family.

But who lived next door to the royal residences? In the same small quarter there were ... one of the most famous confectionery factories in the Russian Empire, two prisons, the house of a famous architect, a shipyard and even an amusement park. All this on our tour!

Our walk starts with p. The work ends at the entrance to the island of New Holland. We will pass along the Kryukov Canal and the Moika River.
