This old park has long been in the city. But it was Ekateringof - "Court of Catherine", became one of the first royal country residences on the Peterhof road. It was to her, Catherine I, who made this truly royal gift to Emperor Peter I. Ekateringof was to become the first link in the chain of seaside estates. But it is also a monument to the victory of the Russian fleet!
Catherine is over 300 years old. There are old ponds and quiet alleys, here was once the palace of Catherine, and in the XIX century arranged noisy festivities, which gathered all of Petersburg. Montferrand built here. Ekateringof is also called the “homeland of May Day”. Of course, the park has its own mysteries!
