ST. PETERSBURG DOSTOEVSKY, ON THE TRAIL OF RASKOLNIKOV
Description:
We will follow the footsteps of the hero of the novel by F.M. Dostoevsky “Crime and Punishment”. We will see the house of Raskolnikov, Sonechka Marmeladova, old women-interest-bearers, several houses in which Fyodor Mikhailovich himself lived and, of course, Sennaya Square. Dostoevsky’s Petersburg is the exact opposite of the brilliant, imperial Petersburg. There are no palaces, no squares with architectural ensembles in the Empire style. It's a grim, crazy city of lonely, lost people.
