ST. PETERSBURG COLUMN

Description:

St. Petersburg Kolomna is a great place for walking: poetic silence, many bridges, canal embankments, houses that keep the memory of the great residents. This area is called “Little Venice”.

We will start our walk on the border of Kolomna near New Holland, walk to Theatre Square, talk about the Russian theater, its past and present. We will see the houses where M. Petipa, M. Vrubel, V. Meyerhold and many others lived. We will pass by the same pharmacy, which was mentioned in his famous poem A. Blok. We will see what happened to the two old markets of Kolomna: Lithuanian and Nikolsky. Let’s see how many bridges you can actually see standing on the famous Semysti.
