"Sanctuaries of Petersburg"

St. Petersburg is primarily associated with the names of such saints as Alexander Nevsky, Xenia of St. Petersburg and John of Kronstadt. Therefore, our route will include:

• Alexander Nevsky Lavra with a unique architectural ensemble and the Trinity Cathedral, where we can attach to the relics of the Blessed Prince;
• Smolensk cemetery, it is there that St. Blessed Ksenyushka is buried, as St. Petersburgers used to call her. We will visit a museum dedicated to the life of the saint, then, passing through the cemetery, perform a traditional ritual around the chapel.
• The St. John's Monastery, where we will talk about John of Kronstadt, the relics of the saint are now open for visiting, a small memorial exhibition is organized.
• Kazan Cathedral, the pearl of St. Petersburg and the center of pilgrimage, the cathedral of military glory, the resting place of Mikhail Illarionovich Kutuzov, the shrine where we will join the miraculous icon of the Kazan Mother of God, the savior of the Russian land, personifying the entire depth of the Orthodox faith.
