Art Cafe "Stray Dog"

At the beginning of the XX century, the art cafe "Stray Dog" was a meeting place of all the colors of the St. Petersburg bohemia, which included Akhmatova, Mandelstam, Gumilev, Mayakovsky and other personalities from the world of music, literature, theater.

Now the cafe has been restored, but the "bohemian spirit" tried to preserve. The first steps to restore the cafe were made in the late 80s of the last century. Completely repaired 90 years after the opening of the institution – in 2001. The current "Stray Dog" consists of 4 halls: an art gallery, a cabaret, a cafe and a bar.

The gallery exhibits St. Petersburg artists whose works can be bought. In the cabaret hall, poetic and musical evenings, various concerts and mini-performances are regularly organized. Especially famous solo performances based on biographies and works of famous people. On the walls of the cafe hang black and white portraits of famous guests, as well as autographs and photos.
