Balkan Bridge

ooh Small Balkan, 31, St. Petersburg, Russia

Description:

The Balkan Bridge was officially built on behalf of Adamant Holding at their personal expense. The first projects of this relatively new bridge appeared in 2006. The Balkan Bridge was planned as a two-lane bridge. However, between 2006 and 2009, the project was repeatedly revised and changed, which eventually led to the approval of the four-lane bridge. This story did not end, because the financial crisis broke out and Holding had to return to the option with a two-lane bridge. The installed length of the bridge is 22.14 meters, and the width is 12 meters. The Balkan Bridge itself has a beam metal structure on an iron base and runs through the Volkovo Canal. The name "Balkan" bridge was received in 2010 on December 15 by decree of the Toponymic Commission under the Committee on Culture of the Government of St. Petersburg. At the meeting of the commission, the names for the bridges of Stone Island and Balkan Bridge were approved.
