Description:
Exchange Bridge in St. Petersburg is a link between Mytninskaya embankment and Exchange Square. The landmark, which unites the Petrograd side of St. Petersburg and Vasilievsky Island, was built at the end of the 19th century and is named after the city exchange that was once located next to it. Then, in the mid-20th century, the bridge was completely rebuilt.
From the bridge, tourists will be able to see the picturesque panorama of the city, including the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, the ensemble of the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Hermitage complex of buildings. The bridge supports are decorated with pink granite. By the decision of the architects, cast-iron grilles were decorated with forged tridents of Neptune.
