Bronnitska Street
Bronnitsa Street, Admiralty District, St. Petersburg
Description:
The history of the street begins with the Semenov regiment. In the XVIII century, the Life Guard was located in the Admiralty District and a military hospital was opened. Then there was a need for the street from the military unit to the embankment. It was called 13th Street. In 1821, the name was changed to Hospital Line. People sometimes call it Hospital Street. After 20 years, the street was given a new name - Bronnitska, in honor of the city of Bronnitsa. The name has survived to our days.
As for attractions, on the street is the cinema concert hall of the hotel "Cosmos", built on the eve of the Olympics-1980. The building fascinates with its arc-like style. Also, on Bronnitskaya there is a house in which ballerina A.Y. Vaganova and revolutionary V.I. Lenin once lived.
