Church of Anna Kashin
St. Petersburg, Big Sampsonievsky Avenue, 53
Description:
The Church of Anna Kashinskaya was erected in the Northern capital in the early 1900s. The author of the project of the Orthodox Church, which is part of the Entered Oyatsky Monastery, is the architect A. Aplaksin. The temple is consecrated in honor of the Tver princess Anna, erected in the Face of Saints.
In the early 1930s, the temple, like many other Orthodox churches, was to be destroyed, but this did not happen. In 1939, art workshops were located in its premises. In 2009, on the centennial anniversary of the opening, the landmark was completely restored. Today it is an active temple.
To get to the church of Anna Kashinskaya, located in the Vyborg district of the city, you can take regular buses. Another option is to get to the metro station “Vyborgskaya”. The distance to the temple is less than 500 meters.
