Holy Trinity Church
Russia, Leningrad region, Peterhof, Own Avenue 84
Description:
The Church of the Holy Trinity in Peterhof is an effective Orthodox church in a state of restoration. The first temple on the territory of Own dacha on the west side of the palace of Elizabeth Petrovna was built in 1748, but was small 12 by 6.5 meters, single-headed and without a bell tower. Due to dilapidation, it was dismantled, and in its place a new stone church was laid in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity.
In 1918, services in the temple stopped, and the building was given under the ownership of the Household Museum. In 2005, the Trinity Church returned to the Orthodox Church, now it is undergoing restoration work.
