Black Sea lane

St. Petersburg

Description:

Black Sea Lane is the so-called narrow passage in St. Petersburg, which runs under the wings of the Admiralty, along its internal walls. Alleys in the Admiralty were formed from the moment of construction of residential buildings on its territory in the XIX century, after shipbuilding was stopped here. The lane received its name in honor of the Black Sea province.

The street with both ends rested on the embankment of the Admiralty, but both sections from the west and east were closed in the second half of the last century. The Black Sea Lane, stretching for less than three hundred meters, is an object of cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.
