The exterior of the temple impresses with a powerful colonnade, whose wings are concentrated on monumental portals. The interior of the cathedral was transformed by the efforts of the best artists-masters into a beautiful work of Russian art. This cathedral is one of the main symbols of the city.
In summer there is a fountain in front of the temple, which attracts all tourists. In winter, it is replaced by a richly decorated Christmas tree.
The temple is working. During the day, prayers and funerals are performed, the sacraments of wedding and baptism. You can register for one of the excursions, which take place every day from 10 to 18 hours.
The temple is located in the center of the city. The facades of the temple overlook Nevsky Prospekt and Griboyedov Canal. In front of the central entrance to the cathedral there is a public transport stop "Nevsky Prospekt", there can be reached by buses: No 3, 3 M, 3 MB, 4 M, 4 MB, 5 M, 5 MB, 7, 22, 24, 27, 191 and trolley buses No 5, 7, 10, 11, 22.
