Description:
The Chinese Palace is one of the key attractions of the Oranienbaum complex. This palace and park ensemble, located in the city of Lomonosov, was erected in the middle of the 18th century for Empress Catherine II. The architectural monument was built in the Rococo style according to the project of A. Rinaldi. The name of the palace is due to the fact that part of its interiors are decorated in the current direction of Chinese design - chinoiseries.
Of particular value are the works collected in the palace by famous masters of the brush: S. Torelli, S. Barozzi and others. Also for connoisseurs of art are interesting collections of furniture and set parquets made by famous carpenters from valuable wood.
You can get to the sights by bus No. 200 or on the following route taxis to Lomonosov from the Avtovo metro station.
