Izmailovsky Garden in the city of St. Petersburg
st. Petersburg, embankment of the Fontanka River, 114
Description:
At the end of the 19th century, Izmailovsky Garden looked like an entertainment park filled with flowers and music, flooded with bright lights. We built this garden around the Buff Theatre, entertainment venues and restaurants.
The theater hosted operettas and guest stars. Lovers of a beautiful holiday came to Fontanka throughout the night.
Since 1980, the Youth Theatre has been operating in the building of the Summer Theatre, the historical appearance of the garden is recreated. Before the Buff Theatre, Izmailovsky Garden was part of the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences. Not far from the Izmailovsky Garden is the house-museum of G.R. Derzhavin.
