Murinsky Park in the city of St. Petersburg

lunacharsky, 86

Description:

Murinsky Park is located in the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg along the Murinsky Creek. The park is quite young: despite the fact that its creation was planned thirty years ago, active work on the improvement of the territory began only in the 2000s.

In the park there is a sculpture garden, created in 1985 by A. Chernitsky. Since then, four small granite sculptures of six have survived: “The Rising Sun”, “Earth”, “Girl” and “Eater”. In 2001, several more sculptures of animals made of wood appeared in the garden, the authors of which are students of the St. Petersburg Roerich Art School.

In August 2009, a bicycle path was opened in the park, and a few years later LED lighting was installed. Thus, the park is good both for roller-skating and bicycles, and just for walking at any time of the day.
