Park of builders in the city of St. Petersburg

st. Petersburg, Antonov-Ovseenko St., 5

Description:

Park builders is located in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg. The initiators of the construction of the park are the administration of the above-mentioned district and the Union of Construction Organizations. The park was laid on the birthday of the city on the three hundred and first anniversary of its foundation.

The park is divided into two parts by Iskrsky Prospekt, in one part the church of St. George is erected. The First Apostle Peter. The five-domed church is made in the classical Russian style, and the adjoining sixty-meter bell tower is the tallest cult building among those currently erected in St. Petersburg. Due to the location of the park, the temple is visible from any side at a great distance.

The place for the construction of this temple was not chosen by chance: according to legends, the Apostle Peter in his earthly life was a builder, so he is considered the heavenly patron of representatives of this profession, as well as the city of St. Petersburg itself.
