st. Petersburg, Glory Avenue, 45
Description:
The Internationalist Park was founded at the end of the twentieth century in memory of the victims of the war in Afghanistan (1979-1988). A memorial was erected in the park, where the names of fallen soldiers and a commemorative inscription were carved on ten granite stones, which reads: “Eternal memory to the sons of the fatherland who died in the line of military duty in the Republic of Afghanistan.”
Not far from the memorial, the first church in Kupchino was installed - the church of St. George the Victorious.
