Rotunda-gazebo in the Ekateringofsky Park
Description:
One of the main attractions of the park is the rotunda gazebo on the shore of the pond, installed in 1949. (By the way, in the old days there was a huge one-story rotunda, covered with a dome with golden blue stripes. Large pointed barred windows in full length cut through the walls of the rotunda. But fires in the 20s of the last century destroyed most of the buildings of the Ekateringofsky Park.
The Water Lantern Festival is held here in the spring, where during the events participants can make wishes and lower lighted lanterns on the water of the pond.
The park is a favorite vacation spot not only for residents of the district, but also for many St. Petersburgers, and students of nearby universities like to celebrate the delivery of sessions here.
Near the Rotunda-gazebo there is a boat station, where you can rent a boat, you can ride along the Main Pond.
