Olympia Garden in St. Petersburg
st. Petersburg, Moscow Avenue, 44
Description:
Olympia Garden is located near the metro station "Technological Institute" on Moscow Avenue.
Before the Great Patriotic War, the Olympia cinema worked on the territory of the garden, and a small Klinsky market was located next to the cinema. During the blockade, they burned down, and in 1946 in their place according to the new layout, the garden with the same name was restored, the cinema and the market were not restored.
Nevertheless, the Olympia Garden is one of the few islands of greenery throughout the stone avenue in the city: it is beautiful and fresh to walk along the alleys in hot sunny weather, admiring the flowering shrubs, from the side of Moscow Avenue, the garden is fenced with a beautiful cast-iron fence set on the basement of white Putilovsky stone.
