st. Petersburg, Farmskoye Sz., 21, Specific Park

Description:

A specific park is an object of landscape architecture, which is a monument of cultural heritage. It is located in the northern part of the city.

The history of the park begins during the reign of Peter the Great, when part of the park was set aside for the cultivation of ship pine. In 1832, the Udelninsky Forest School was opened here, where the serfs studied forestry. After the school closed, a park was created.

The Great Patriotic War caused serious damage to the park - after all, at this time the rear line of defense was held in the park. After the war, the park was reconstructed – new trees and shrubs were planted, old and sick trees were cut down, various sites were equipped.

In the eastern part of the park there are attractions.

The park lies on two terraces separated by a high ledge. Here grows birch, alder, aspen, rowan and cherry. There is a pond on the upper terrace. Not far from the central alley of the park there is a lattice-enclosed area of forest, on which there are many birds and squirrels.
