The buildings of the plant, where mechanical workshops and residential apartments were located, occupy the site up to the street. Marata. At the street. Marata 63 is the former mansion of K. B. Siegel.
The plot for the construction of the plant was bought at the end of the XIX century, then there were gardens and wastelands.
Kitner used high-quality bricks for buildings, he believed that open brickwork for weather conditions of St. Petersburg is more expressive and durable than plaster. In the decoration of the facades, he used terracotta, curly curly and natural stone.
At the entrance to the office there are two bronze bears that hold metal trunks of trees with lanterns. The casting was produced at the F. K. San Galli Art casting plant. The figures of bears are made according to the model of the sculptor A. L. Ober.
