The underground museum demonstrates all the difficulties of wartime. The museum hall is decorated with two thematic mosaics – “Victory” and “Blockade”. In addition, in the museum you can get acquainted with the documentary and art exposition, telling about the blockade and the grandiose defense of Leningrad. The exposition in the museum is carefully thought out, and the sound design adjusts to certain thoughts.
Above the entrance to the museum there is another element of the memorial – an overhanging, torn ring, which symbolizes the breakthrough of the blockade. The length of the ring is 124 meters. In memory of the dead, the Eternal Flame is placed on the site with the sculptural group “Blockade”.
