Bridge dam
Description:
The concrete pedestrian bridge-dam passes through the Duderhof Canal at the entrance to the Polezhayevsky Park on the side of the Peterhof highway. Built in 1986, the granite lining of the bridge looks attractive and emphasizes the architectural balance of natural materials of the bridge and the surrounding park ensemble.
Two monolithic reinforced concrete arcades make up the design of the dam bridge, they are united by a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. In the design, you can see round through holes of the dam, through which water descends in a stream, something resembling waterfalls. The rear faces of the bridge foundations are 41 meters long, and the passerby part is 4.5 meters wide. The spans are 2.0 m in diameter, and the base of the bridge is monolithic w / b plate. The railings of the bridge have the appearance of a granite parapet, which emphasizes the type of bridge. There are stairs to the water. The bridge perfectly fits into the appearance of the park and attracts the attention of passers-by and guests of the city.
